Employment can impact a claim in many ways.  While we seek to get the basic details on time loss and any restrictions, it’s important to learn alterior motives that surround the claim. Possible factors may influence the claimant’s lost time:

● Family responsibilities
● Going back to school
● Alcohol or drug abuse issues
● Works around the house or other projects
● Unrelated aspirations
● Second job – possibly at home?
● Sports, hobbies and other interests?

We look for wage information, job duties, length of employment, schedule, lost time. Also can’t overlook past work performance and the overall health of the employer’s business and possible relationship issues the claimant has with fellow workers.
